Use the HATPro standard
Primarily, we want you to use the HATPro standard!
HATPro is open source and available for anyone to use, including for commercial purposes.
Whether you're building a personal project or integrating HATPro into a commercial product, you're welcome to get involved. Just make sure you respect and abide by the terms of the licence.
You do NOT have to be a DIF member to use the standard.
Discuss & contribute to the HATPro standard
If you are going to make a substantive contribution, you need to be a DIF member (so that you agree to the IPR agreement). Here is where you join: https://identity.foundation/join/
- We have a low volume two-way email discussion list:
https://lists.identity.foundation/g/hospitalityandtravel-wg - On Github you can create and discuss issues:
https://github.com/decentralized-identity/hatpro-schema/issues - We have two weekly meetings - Tuesday (11:00 US Eastern Time) & Thursday (10:00 US Eastern Time) [Zoom] - Listen to recordings of recent meetings

Multiple Ways to Contribute
There are multiple ways to contribute to advancing Hospitality and Travel Working Group (HTWG) work products, including the Hospitality and Travel Profile (HATPro) Standard:
1. Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) willing to submit ideas officially and spend 5-10 minutes structuring their idea should submit this form directly.
2. SMEs sharing ideas through casual conversations with WG members: Working Group members should submit those ideas on their behalf by completing this form.

Hospitality & Travel Special Interest Group (SIG)
The SIG hosts open discussions on digital identity in the hospitality and travel sectors. Sessions often feature external speakers sharing their work, followed by group discussion. It’s a great way to get involved and discover what different technology companies are exploring.
- Every two weeks, 1 hour every Thursday at 15:00 UTC
- Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84452887585?pwd=ZOio7alXPdqNeHVPJGiO8UmyMOu9JO.1
The SIG is different from this Working Group (WG) in that anyone can attend SIG discussions. The WG is affiliated with the SIG but is responsible for the legal and formal processes required to discuss, manage, and publish the HATPro specification appropriately.
