HATPro open for public review & prototyping
Download the schema from GitHub
Big news from DIF’s Hospitality and Travel Working Group: after several years of collaborative work, the HATPro schema is now open for public review and prototyping.
HATPro, the Hospitality & Travel Profile, is an open-source schema designed to help travellers manage and share hospitality and travel preferences through digital identity apps in a privacy-preserving way.
The current schema includes detailed modelling for food and beverage preferences, allergies, ingredients, cuisines, and early work on activity and experience categories.
Technical artefacts and preliminary documentation are now available in the HTWG GitHub repository, including the executive summary, overview, and updated implementation guide.
This is a volunteer-led effort by DIF members across travel, hospitality, leisure, and the identity ecosystem. We welcome feedback, use cases, implementation ideas, and prototype activity from industry stakeholders, developers, and the wider community.
